Berlusconi declares garbage disposal crisis over
Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, in Naples
July 18 for a cabinet meeting, announced that the
garbage crisis in the Campania region is over, but
pointed out that will take three years to resolve
Campania’s garbage problem definitively. Berlusconi
said the main goal is construction of four incinerators
one of which should be finished by the end of this year.
Meanwhile, Naples authorities are looking for a site,
likely in the east side of Naples, to build the incinerator,
after the Agnano plan was cancelled.

If you look at this picture and imagin an entire city like this you would say that the problem is still very alive.
